how to replace power steering pump

Hope this helps. Sometimes when going back with the new pump, I'd hook everything up except the return line at the pump, aim that end of return line into container. Fill the reservoir, work the pulley with my finger to circulate the old fluid out, have to add fluid as needed. When the color of the fluid coming out is the same color as the new fluid, the old fluid should be mostly gone. Then hook up return line. With belt and everything installed, fluid level good, start the vehicle, turn steering wheel fuel left and right then back to middle. Do that a couple of times, then most of the air should be gone. Keep an eye on fluid level a few days, until your satisfied.
