Hi I have 2007 Chev Impala, the key fob quit working, I changed the battery it still didn't work, so I changed it again, I tested the key fob its good, so I changed the fuse for the door locks, it worked a few times and quit, the door locks inside the car work but neither one of my key fobs do. Any suggestions
key fob wont work, to lock or unlock my doors, or trunk, its good I;ve had it checked, Changed battery twice, changed the fuse for door locks, it work twice and quit again, any suggestions
You may have to synchronize the fobs to the car once the batteries in the fobs are changed. The system works on a rolling code system. Each time the fob is used a different code is transmitted from the fob to the car. The codes are in sequence so the car knows which code will be next. If the expected code is not transmitted the car won't respond to the fob. Talk to your local Chevy Dealer about how to synchronize the fob to the car. HTH. -Jim
