Asked by Aug 15, 2016 at 01:49 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt 2 Dr LS Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2007 cobalt, 2.2L had to replace engine with used one.  Installed and ran for about 1 1/2 months, couple thousand miles without any problems or fluid usage.  Suddenly began running hot and going to cool mode, A/C shuts off.  Water pump, thermostat, hoses were replace when replaced engine.  In checking engine, passenger side radiator hose is hot, but drivers side (lower) is cool.  Fan turns on and runs.  replaced thermostat and flushed radiatior and problem continues.  Hoses felt pressurized except for the lower drivers side.   Engine runs fine until temperature gets hot.
