why when i turn my 07 Chevy colbalt off I have to get it jump started. The car dealer I bought it from said its the battery. and also whenever we are turning the st it acts like it wants to lose powe.

If the dealer told you it needs a battery and you have to jump it every time you start it, the car needs a new battery. Get the battery first then worry about the steering problem.

Thank you. that's what I told my husband once we get the new battery if its still acting like that will probably need to get our money back.

If I'm not mistaken the cobalt has an electronic steering rack so the new battery might fix both problems.

Yes. When the battery was failing on my '06 the power steering would quit intermittently as well as some of the electronic dash functions. Get a battery in it and all your problems will be over.
