my oil light and check engine light keep coming on .. i've done two oil changes in like 4 months . what could it be.....

I assume you didn't reset the oil service light?

To reset the oil change service light indicator system for a Dodge Avenger perform the following procedure. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly 3 times within 10 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.
