When driving on interstate and going say 75 mph then i have to slow down and when i want to speed back up i put my foot on gas but the car jerks like its shifting.

it jerks when excelerating at higher speeds.

If it's an automatic transmission, sounds like the torque converter clutch is sticking. Possibly a bad (TCC) solenoid in the transmission. HTH. -Jim
