Asked by Apr 27, 2014 at 12:09 PM about the 1997 Acura TL 2.5 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A/C blows cold air for 5 minutes or so and the blows room temp air.  Cut off the A/C for 4-5 minutes and cut back on and will usually blow cold for 1-2 minutes.

Sounds like the pressure cut-out switch is sticking. Your A/C compressor comes on and off to maintain proper cooling without freezing the cooling coils. That switch controls when the compressor runs. HTH. -Jim
