should my trucks transmission be running hotter now that i had the transmission rebuilt?
needed to have my tanny rebuilt and ow that i have had it done it seems to be running
hotter, should i be concerned?
Yes, heat breaks down the fluid. If its just slightly hotter check the temperature of it with a lazer type thermometer. Could be the new temperature sensor is just calibrated differently and is causing the needle on the gauge to read higher. If you find the temperature really is higher take it back to whomever did the rebuild. Don't want to void any warranty due to "neglect" or "abuse". HTH. -Jim
Hopefully they put a good synthetic ATF in it.. and not cheap crappy fluid.
U may have a clog in the trans Cooling system slowing the fluid flow or the outside of the trans cooler is clogged by debris maybe a bend in the trans line slowing down the fluid . Fix it ASAP or u will be replacing or rebuilding the trans
