intermittent wipers stopped working

other speeds work.  Also, 'D' on dash and console no longer lights up.  Other gears do light up.

how many miles are on it. it could be the backlight is burnt out

my gf's 94 LS 4dr has the same problem...wipers only work at high speed and D Light is out...also her rear defroster doesnt work and seatbelt alert beep doesnt work...from time to time tho it all magically works for a day or 2 then goes back to problem city...i think theres a wiring issue and it is possible its just worn out in her car bcuz it just went over the 225,000 mile mark...ill look more into it and let you know if i find a solution
