Headlights Open/Close

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can someone tell me what the little knob/valve by each headlight is?  I have discovered that when one or both won't go up/down I can turn the knob counterclockwise then they will work ok a few times.  Just curious. :)
They eventually will stop going up/down so I have to do it again.  What's up with that??? :)

I think you're referring to the manual raise/lower knob. Also, rebuilding these headlights is not very difficult. You can get a kit here: http://rodneydickman.com/catalog/product_info.php? cPath=32&products_id=231 I believe that knob has to be "tightened" so that everything enganges properly. I don't remember which way it turns though. I would recommend turning it until it starts to raise the headlight, then turn back until it doesn't and see how that works for you.
