my headlight is stuck up and makes a rapid click when i turn on the other light?

ok, so i bought a 1986 pontiac fiero se, and the passenger headlight is stuck
up. this would be fine, as they both turn on, but when i turn the lights on and the
other pops up, i hear a loud, rapid clicking? anybody know what this is?

The internal nylon gear in the headlight motor is striped. You can purchase a rebuild kit for both headlight motors at The Fiero store.

it was the gear. now i just have to do 3 more things and it will be back on the road. thanks!
