MDX Dashboard Display "Washout"

Asked by Jbbmillar Jan 25, 2020 at 01:34 PM about the 2001 Acura MDX AWD with Touring Package

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About a year ago Acura fixed the clock fail on my 2001 Acura MDX navigation system display.  For free!  Amazing - thank you Honda/Acura for that "warranty" servcie on a 19 year old car with over 200,000 miles, and still going pretty strong.

However now when I power up the car the display is all washed out and very hard to read.  If I turn the car on without starting it loads and looks normal, but when I start the car it washes out.  On very rare occasions while driving it changes to look normal.

Haven't been to the dealer yet, but wondered is this site has info.
