I inherited a 2007 Kia Rio that has not been driven in over 1 year. Do I need a new battery or can the current one be charged?

Take it over to your local auto parts store, most times they will check and charge it up for free and see if it will hold a charge.

Thank you. I tried jumping it and driving it for a bit, but once I turn the car off, it will not restart. I don't think the battery is holding the charge. I'll try your suggestion first and see what they say. Thank you again.
