I have a 2004 Discovery, and the code scanner says: evaporative emission system leak detected (large leak). What could that be?

Could be the exhaust system.

Thank you BohoMark, I did notice the muffler rattling

This can't be as simple as a gas cap can it? I have removed an re-installed the cap, and the service engine soon light remains.
