I WAS DRIVING ALONG AND HAD MY FOOT ON THE GAS BUT THE SPEEDOMITOR WAS GOING DOWN. PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IT DIED. WOULDN'T RESTART. TOWED TO A SHOP THEY REPLACED THE COIL TODAY IT STARTED AND I WAS DRIVING HOME WHEN BAM IT DIED AGAIN AND WOULDN'T START.
Hello, I just had a very similar problem with an older Volvo. I paid $700 to my usual mechanic to fix an ABS problem, but it stalled again. I *hate* taking my car to dealers, but in this case I had no chioce. I brought the car in and requested a diagnostic. They are thereby able to find the error codes to help with the fix. They fixed a problem I would never have suspected, and the car has been running great since, including a 1500-mile treck from Boston to Tampa. Best of luck CarGrrl
