how do i change a wheel bearing on my 1997 impreza wagon
it has drum brakes the 20 litre model ive took the brake drum off .theres a big nut in the middle but dont know what to do or how to change one. can any one help
Hi Nev, i looked for an online repair guide, but I couldn't find one. You should get your hands on a Chilton or Haynes manual. They are available at any Auto Parts store and at most libraries. It will have step by step instructions on how to remove the wheel bearings.
very complex assembly i change them all the time, you need to remove the axle nut and the lateral link bolt. 97 they were pressed in hub bearing so you need to remove the hub fronm the car and press the bearing out.
Whats better for rear wheel bearings ? roller or ball ?
