1996 Oldsmobile Regency Elite parking brake will not release on left rear wheel. It has leading/trailing shoes with a single spring return. Depressing the parking brake petal will not release it. I have it on 2 jack stands trying to figure out how to remove the left drum. Right rear drum wheel turns easily in both directions, but the left rear won't budge! do not see anyway to solve this. I can not use brake adjusting tool on this type of brake. Help Anyone? Thanks. 2 Answers

Car on jack stands. Both wheels off ground. Right rear wheel rotates easily in both directions but left rear will not budge. The drum brake is a GM leading/trailing type with a single spring. No way...
