If I hold my foot on the gas pedal it will stay running but with a really
bad misfire my plugs and wires are not even a year old

Do you have any check engine lights? Anytime your vehicle misfires it will throw a check engine light with codes. It could be a number of things. Could be coils, cpu, lean codes, cat converter, could be many things. Does not sound like symptoms of a fpr to me, really need to put an OBD scanner on it.
