Can a brand new front wheel bearing that was mounted in the wrong direction be reused if taken out?

Bought a timken front wheel bearing for my 2004 jaguar x type the mechanic mounted it win the wrong direction causing the abs light to come out can I reuse safely the same bearing, will it have the same integrity?

I haven't heard that a wheel bearing has a direction. Is that what they told you? An ABS light after a wheel bearing install might have been from a sensor not hooked up properly to them cracking the tone ring. Did they install the wrong size bearing?
