ok so i have a 2001 GMC Jimmy and went to fire it up just now and all i hear
is a bang and smoke poring out of the hood. what could be the cause
because when i try to restart it, it idled extremely rough and will backfire at idle
and hissing a hissing sound is coming from the engine compartment. i just
would like to know if it jumped timing or blown head gasket or what, please
help.

figured it out it was a hose that was not hooked up on the intake
