I need help folks

Asked by WishIWereAMechanic Jul 21, 2018 at 02:24 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS Coupe RWD

Question type: General

So i got myself a great job on my hands but im not quite
sure how i should go about this here being my first project
and all.
I have this 91 camaro RS with blown head gaskets and lord
knows what else. I'd like to put a new engine in the vehicle
but im not sure which engine to go for? I'd like a bigger
engine or something with a little more speed but i don't
need it to be a difficult switch. Am i able to put either a 305
or a 350 in this car with a v6 stock transmission?

Hi, sometimes when changing to a different engine the engine block mounts might differ from how the car frame is layed out so you may need to weld on the mounting brackets from the donor car onto the car that you are putting it on, so that you can properly mount the new engine. So basically if you are putting any engine other than the stock it may make it a little more difficult to mount, also you need get the ecm from the donor car if it is a different engine as well as the wiring harness
