What is causing stalling and presssure problem when in reverse?

When truck is in reverse, just before it starts to stall, you can feel the brake pedal pushing your foot.

Then you are having a stalling problem. but why? do you lose spark or fuel? The vehicle is not supposed to stall. runability issues reduces engine vacuum, right? and this has a vaccum suspended booster, yes? Are there codes stored? is the vehicle behind on maintenance? a safety inspection and list of obvious needs may help.
