Have a 92 k1500 w/ 700r4. If I put a 97 vortec with harness and ecm will the ecm recognize the trans and will the trans work right

The trans will work. It's a 700r4 so it's not electronic. However the ecu will throw some trouble codes because it doesn't see a transmission

However u will have to figure out how to run a throttle valve cable to the vortec throttle body

Trans does not have vacuum shift. It's electronic. Could be real early 4l60. What if I got an ecm for a vortec with a standard trans. Can change throttle cable
