My speed odmeter only works on the miliage and not the speed

needs repaired, but before you go and start throwing money at it. do a couple tests. first, has anyone changed the radio? could be plug that was not properly connected. check fuses. also check the plug on the side of the transmission as well as behind the speedo. they have had problems with their dash clusters forever. but check the connections and basics first. everyone thinks its bad when it could be as easy as a loose plug becuase someone had it apart to put a radio in it
