My truck has around 289,700 miles on. I got it about 50,000 miles ago . I have a problem with it idling really rough. In natural ok it sputters misses rich fuel smell I have checked timing its good
Time for a tune up. Fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, PCV valve and maybe a fuel pressure regulator?
I did that more than once already couldnt explain all I did it didn't give me Enough space, did also sensors , tbi rebuild including injectors. Can you explain fuel pressure regulator?
Do you have a catalytic converter on your truck? If so it could be plugged? Fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel line before the injectors. Not to be a smart butt here but, it regulates the fuel pressure while the truck is running. It also keeps pressure in the fuel line while the truck is off so the pump won't have to prime the fuel line every time you start up your truck.
I feel dumb right now, sorry bout thatAnn's yes it does have catalytic converters
Oh geez don't feel dumb. Easily overlooked. Check out the regulator, if that isn't it look at the converters.
Ok thanks for the tips
No problem. Good luck I hope it's an easy fix.
