What engine do you recommend

I have 1994 Chevy Silverado k1500 Z71.
Wanting you replace the 350 tbi with a new
one. Drivetrain is all stock. Do I need to stay
with the 350 in particular or will a 355 or 383
work without mods?

A 383 will work as long as it is the correct version of your engine. Not all 350 engines can be stroked to 383.
