4l60e shifting problem

I have a 95 Chevy c1500. I swapped engines from
the 5.7 TBI to an old style 76 350 4 bolt main. Now
the trans won't shift on it's own. Installed the tps
and still won't shift. One person said that you had
to run a wire to the crankshaft position sensor.
Then the truck would not start. Took that back off.
The truck runs great. Just want it to shift on its
own.
