1995 chevy 1500,2wd,5.7 engine. 320.000 miles.4l60e transmission.no record of fluid/filter
changes. bought at a dealership back lot.

If you want you can try an inexpensive fix first by changing the transmission fluid and filter. Is the fluid a nice red color and not brown or black? After you completed that, and it is still shifting harsh, your probably looking at rebuilding, replacing the trans with a new or used unit. 320K miles is a lot of miles. Most auto trans don't last that long without any service.
