1995 Chevrolet K1500 stalling

Asked by Steven Oct 01, 2020 at 01:11 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1995 Chevrolet K1500 5.0 Trucks runs good when cold, once it heats up to
full operating temperature if you shut it off it doesn't want to restart, if you get
it to start when hot you have to hold the rpms at 3000 or better for a min or
so to get it to idle, it will also die when putting it in reverse and it will die if you
turn the blower on at max speed, I know it all sounds kinda strange.  I have
replaced everything under the hood that you can replace I am lost.  Please
help any advice you can give

Temperature sending unit. It's probably telling the computer that the engine is cold and letting it dump a bunch of extra fuel. So by holding the throttle wide open its pulling enough air to fire the motor over. Hope this helps.
