Bad ground?

Asked by Jun 13, 2017 at 07:39 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my transmissin in my truck currently only
works in 2-3. I changed the shift solenoids and
that didn't fix the problem. My transmission
decides when it wants to work and when it doesnt.
I've disconnected my negative post press the
brake and turned the key to ground my truck and
that has gotten my transmission to work properly.
My guess is its a bad ground. Where would I begin
looking to find the source of the problem?
