Po 300 code on a 5.7 vortec 1997 k1500

Thanks I have replaced spark plugs, distributor,rotor , wires any also set TDC my scanners show number 2 and 6 might be the problem any ideas thx

You might have FUEL INJECTOR(56-62psi) or FUEL METER BODY (60-65psi) $225. This could be a hard problem to diag, and the OBDII system is not very smart back then. Even the dealer has a problem to confirm it. Sometimes you just have to take a chance. Is the symptom very pronouns? Like power lost or frequent missing. You also have to check fuel pressure, and they have to fall in the range as indicated above.

By the way, you also need to get a reading on all the cylinder pressure before you spend any money.

thanks for the reply , the vehicle was running perfect before the manifold gasket change, I had a mechanic clean the and replace plenum gasket you think he might be the issue
