I keep blowing the fuse that runs the dash light and tail lights it only holds for a mile. Any ideas?

You have obviously got a direct short in the wiring going to the lights, the short is going to have to be found or this will continue to happen. I suggest using, or purchasing an ohm meter and checking the wiring to see if there is an increased amount of amperage going to the daash or tail lights. Always wear safety glasses when doing this to prevent any spark material from getting into your eyes.
