1994 Chevy C/K 3500 DuallyBackfiring

Asked by Mar 07, 2016 at 11:42 AM about the 1994 Chevrolet C/K 3500 Cheyenne Crew Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1994 Chevy C/K 3500 Dually backfires when the engine is warm. It doesn't
happen with a cold engine.

That usually means a leaking injector, during full deceleration the fuel injectors are shut off but if they drip fuel then you can get a backfire out the tail pipe, if your getting it through the intake then there is either something wrong with the cam timing or the valves not seating properly.
