will the rear end from a 97 1500 work in a 95 2500

I have a 95 2500 with a bent axle I have a friend that has a 97 1500 parts truck with the rear end can they be swaped?

If they are 2wd trucks and both 6 lug sure it will bolt it in and go if its a 8 bolt 2500 it may have a different spring purch width make sure you measure it no matter what it will still work but your 6 bolt rims won't work you will need a 8 bolt but if its all ya got in a pinch it will work
