Truck wouldnt crank so i checked the starter
, and its still good. I also replaced the
battery, and now i have no elecrical power.
Last time i drove the truck it ran fine until the
nwxt morning. When i went to crank it all it
did was click one time. What could cause
this?

I checked all my fuses and relays first. 6 months ago it took a shit resulting in alot of guess work and throwing $ at it. After replacing the fuel pump/filter,distibutor cap, spark plugs, spark plugwires and still nothing. After replacing the disributor i could finially drive it again, and did problem free until now.

First thing to do is a voltage drop test on the starter circuit. It requires the use of a multimeter to check voltage, I suggest you also have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
Keep it simple, sounds like a bad connection at the battery. You have side posts that are prone to stripping and not making good contact.
I dont have side post, but i found a bad ground. In the process of the repair now. Thanks for the info.
Redid my grounds along with the battery terminals, and they looked like they needed it. still didnt get any power to the key. How do i get it read for codes? Do i pull the computer and take it up to auto zone? Thanks in advance.
