will a 14 bolt chevy 2500 rearend 2006 fit under my 1978 chevy pickup?

i have a 1978 chevy k20 4x4 with a 14 bolt full floater and would like to swap with a 2006
2500 rearend which is also a 14 bolt 8 lug full floater. will it bolt right up or will i have to
modify???

with a few measurements, spring perches, width, brake flange to flange .universal joint connection 3rd member ect sounds like an alright go, except ring ,pinion ratio not matching front ratio of 4 wd unit
