Just purchased, has rough shift from 1st to 2nd gears.  Rest of gears are smooth.  Is this a problem?  Any experience with this?

Thanks for the info. This is a 1995 Riviera without supercharger. We were told at a dealer that it needed a new modulator for the problem with shifting. Any opinion on that?

i've changed the modulator before ..it helps. not too expensive and u can do it on your own. buy new rubber hoses too.
