1999 Buick real gs, temperature gauge starts at half way when starting cold car and gos up when car warms up. The fan on radiator runs almost immediately after starting car. radiator and overflow are full. Is it a sensor or something worse?

It could as simple as a bad temperature sensor.

Is that located in front part of manifold, on drivers side?
