1998 Buick Regal GS 225,000 miles. Under hard aceleration I am experiencing a mild to moderate popping sound. No crankschaft knock or engine miss. Could it be a strut, motor mount or axel?

Yes it could be any or a combination of them. Could also be a transmission mount or cradle mounting bolts/rubber bushings as well.
