Why do I have to use my zip code if I use advanced search AND want to limit by price?

Asked by Aug 25, 2015 at 10:14 PM about the 1990 Buick Reatta Coupe FWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I found a listing through eBay for an older car that is no longer made for $4900.
When I looked at their own webpage I noticed the price was lower.  The car is
in Illinois but I'm in Texas.  Once I saw that the price "seemed" okay I wanted to
search for the same car across the country but limited to the same price or
lower.

On your site I am not allowed to add those parameters without being forced to
add my zip code and then once I add my location I'm limited to within 100 miles
of my location (if I don't care about price it allows me to find the car)...

Please update your system to allow multiple ways to allow searches to happen.

Check kbb.com or NADA Classic Car Price Guide to get an idea of the car's value. PLEASE don't buy it sight unseen!! Have it professionally inspected. I've used lemonsquad.com for long distance purchases. The service costs about $150 and it is well worth it, in my opinion. You'll get a very detailed report on the vehicle plus a boat load of pictures. HTH. -Jim
