Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This keeps happening on my 1998 Park Avenue Buick V6 3800 engine.  I think it has
something to do with anti theft system.

Check the connections at and near the battery as well as the routing of the wiring in the area. Sounds like when you changed the battery you disturbed some wiring. Now something "hot" is touching something metal that it shouldn't. HTH. -Jim
