Asked by Aug 05, 2019 at 09:57 AM about the 1997 Buick Park Avenue FWD

Question type: General

I've noticed that while the car is running I can hear
a motor running in the rear of the car at first I
thought it might be my fuel pump but as I
inspected the noise I ruled that out and realized it's
my air ride compressor my main question is why
doesn't it shut off or what could cause it.

You have a leak in the air shocks or the air lines going to the shocks. The compressor should only run a few seconds periodically under normal conditions. Hope that helps! Jim
