I have a 2004 buick lesabre custom,the ac gets cold the heater gets hot,but when I slide the blower fan switch on it makes a howling noise and gets louder as I slide it up.thoughts?

Could be the bearing on the blower motor is going. You can access the blower motor in the dash, either by dropping the glove box all the way down and removing the tray, and/or pulling the pass. side air bag. With the fan off, try spinning it by hand and see if it is making noise. If it is, just replace the blower motor. If you do need to remove the air bag to access the blower motor, be sure to disconnect the battery for several minutes before disconnecting it.
