What's wrong with my car?

Asked by Feb 15, 2014 at 02:38 PM about the 2003 Buick LeSabre Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday MT car began to
over heat and died multiple
times.  I put more oil in it.  I
also put stop leaking and
coolant in it.  I let it cool down
and took the radiator  cap off to
allow any air bubbles to run
out.  This morning  my car will
not start. What in the world
could it be?

Did you notice any white smoke out the exhaust? If so could be a bad head gasket. A vehicle getting hot enough to shut its self down might have a critical failure.

I would pull the spark plugs out and inspect them. Are they wet and smell like anti freeze? If so head gasket bad or worse if it got way to hot. When you say won't start -- does it turn over but not start or don't turn over at all?

It turns over but would not start. I finally got it to start. Added more coolant and leak stop because it leaked. Still heating up but the overheating light did not come on and I only drove as long as I had to
