Why is the gas stopping while trying to fill up?
...yes there is a vent valve malfunctioning~ will try n track it down for you~
Not sure if you mean WHY the gas stops flowing from the nozzle when tank is almost full..or if it stops prematurely. If it's the former...here's your answer: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-efficiency/fuel-consumption/gas-pump-full-tank.htm
okay...this has been captured from elsewhere on the net~
some pump nozzles are quick to kick off, and must be aimed straight in filler tube on car, you may try a less than full blast trigger pull on pump hose gun, or maybe side filler tube vent hose is clogged .fish with a coat hanger wire if that's possible if slower fill flow and correct angle doesn't cure
okay...okay Guru type dudes...we will prove my theory by getting the OBD- II trouble codes from your own handheld device (plugged into the 'diagnostic' plug, not three feet from the ignition switch)...or take it to NAPA or the pep boys oreilly advance auto...anywhere will tell you the code for evap vent valve~
