2001 LeSabre no crank

Asked by Jun 03, 2015 at 08:14 PM about the 2001 Buick LeSabre Custom

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Battery, starter and accessories all are
good. No crank. Suspect Passkey III
system. Only have 1 key. Can the
transponder in the key go bad. Looking for
troubleshooting tips. Thanks!

If the "security" light on the dash stays on then yes, it's a Passkey problem. Most likely the anti- theft module is no longer recognizing the transponder key. You'll need to have it fixed at your local GM dealer. HTH. -Jim

It's not the battery or the connections. I checked them all. The dash lights all come on but it makes no sound and does not crank.
