What does the map sensor do?

MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. Actually lack of, measures intake manifold vacuum, density (temperature) . Altitude, ambient temperature, and other factors... MAP...02 sensor readings and MAF Mass Air Flow Sensor all send data to ECU to get proper air/fuel mix (14.6:1)
