Buick lesaber 97 making squeling noise
My 97 buick lesabre is making a loud squeling noise while driving under the
front driver side sounds like it under the wheel does it when I turn sometimes
it comes and goes does go away when applying brakes not sure if its cv joint or
baring or something else don't feel anything weird in steering wheel or when
turning feels fine just that loud noise. Any help would be much appriciated
It could be power steering pump noise if the fluid level is low. Check it. It could be the serpentine belt is worn out. Replace every 60,000-80,000 miles.
I believe that the Buick is equipped with "sounders" on the front brake pads, when the pad gets worn to a certain point they start to rub the rotor and make a squealing noise. Check your brakes.
Hey thanks I'm hoping its nothing big. I just checked power steering fluid it seems fine. I did see a little leak under the front of the car, kind of in front of that tire. The fluid is kinda red the power steering fluid looks the same thinking its a messed up power steering line not sure yet. Ill check out the brakes too. Thanks a lot always helpful to have other ideas and knowledge
