Car stop on freeway look like out gas

low on gas can cause the fuel pump to overheat....needs fuel to keep it's cool (poetry). You should have the fuel pump tested for continuity~ possibly have to replace that one~

the little gas pump icon should have lit up...did it not scream "fill me up now"?

Suggest you call AAA and get them to get you a couple gallons of gas pronto! Senor!! Filll 'er up, son!!

Rule of thumb on injected vehicles, never run less than 1/4 on fuel gauge.
