Which computer runs the starter
The igintion control module turn,s starter, not the computer.
I replaced it
Does the ecm effect it
ok,starter want turn over>?
It can,but not likely.
Turn the key and nothing happens checked and starter is fine got new ignition switch and starter relay
Theres a red dot on the dash I've never seen befor
One thing,it,s a sot in the dark, have you tryed putting in neutral and turn starter?
First thing neutral switch is fine
There,s a fuse link close to starter, right where the cable hook,s in to it,check it.
I ran a continuity check on the wire from relay to starter and it was fine
Also from ecm to relay and it checked out ok to
Already put a new ignition in there
You said you checked starter, did you cross cylinoid to do this or parts store checked it for you?
I've never seen this red dot before
One question, what started this, was it a bad starter you changed out?
Give me a few minute,s to look something up on your van
No battery went dead because I left the key on . Already charged it and tryed a new one. Nothing
I have a black key
Ok, it is your chip in your key,if you have another key try it,if not you will have to have the key programmed.
Already tried other key same thing , nothing
I'm convinced its in the computer but which one?
It won,t work ,i checked book, even if you have another key,it has same chip, your van when battery went dead cleared your computer, and now it dos,nt know the key code,it,s not your computer itself,it is only the keys, they will have to be programmed back to the computer.
Even the one in my wife's purse
Yes,it will not reconize the key,s,
You will have to have a dealer or good mechanic to do this for you.
